Punjab and Haryana HC ask the censor board for norms on film release: Tusshar Kapoor’s latest movie Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 has become the second-best opener of 2016. The celebrity is seen with HT City as well as his costar Aftab Shivdasani lately and said that he’s lived on the market just due to his supporters.
In a combined response, the Union ministry of the CBFC and broadcasting and information told the HC that the launch had been permitted by the board of ‘Kyaa Cool Hain Hum 3’ with 139 reductions and an ‘A’ certification and `Mastizaade’ with 381 reductions.
The response said that after 139 reductions, the film was given ‘A’ certification and allowed for release in January.
“As far as the film ‘Mastizaade’ is concerned, the producer himself offered 349 reductions. The board indicated 32 more reductions, as well as the film, was released with ‘A’ certification, which will be scheduled for release on January 29,” the ministry said.
The ministry together with the censor board, however, submitted that the board does not examine the contents/promos being shown on Youtube or the net in any digital form, as it does not have any control over the promos shown on the web.
It was likewise submitted that when the contents are examined by the censor board are deleted.
Hearing the response, the HC has requested the guidelines about acceptance of a film to be produced by the Centre. The issue should come up for a hearing on Thursday.
